Term Two

On May the 20th I went to Naracoorte for S.A.P.S.A.S.A. cross country tryouts. I ran 2.5 kilometres through sand, bitumen and dirt. The course  had a big hill and went through parklands and bush. I finished in sixth place and was successful for making the Upper South East team.

On the June the 9th I went to Oakbank to run 3 kilometres through mud, rain, fog and the freezing cold. The track was partly on a race course and of into many hilly areas, I wasn’t   sure what I came.

Another topic we covered in term2 was Scratch Day at Grant High School in Mount Gambier. Three students from my school including me went and represented Mundulla Primary School. We learnt more advanced skills and had to make a project about dairy by the end of the term. We made a Scratch project starting with what cows eat and then the process of them being milked, and the milk getting stored and tested. We finished it off with a seven question quiz.

Another thing we did was The Amazing Race. We got into groups of four and had to do individual projects and group projects. I believe my highest score was 18/20 and my lowest was 14/20. My group were called the sharks. The topics were about migrants, artists and immigration. I don’t think my group will get the most points.

On the 29th of June I and six other students combined with Kingston Area School to form a team for S.A.P.S.A.S.A. football tryouts. The three grade sevens got in but I didn’t but I am only a year six so I have a chance next year. Our team won all our four games out of the five teams. The teams included Naracoorte Magpies, The All-stars, Bordertown, Keith and us Mundulla/Kinston combined.
